About Us
We are a Health , Education ,Sports and Good Governance oriented Non Governmental Organization (NGO) registered with the Registrar of Societies ( ORS/102/33/446) . A women and Young People driven participatory movement that aims at creating platforms for engaging communities in the development process.
Our main objectives is to empower people to be masters of their own development and contribute to broadening community participation and decision making in issues relating to influence civic leaders and government to more transparent and accountable . Thus by increasing advocacy for policy and legislative reforms. We are a Member of the Sports for Social Change Network Africa (SSCNA) and CIVICUS.
Sports Development
Helping the Young people to develop their Sports Talents such as Football, Basket Ball, Netball and Volleyball.The Power Of Sports and why we use it to meet our objectives.
At CHESIZ we use Sport to unite Young people and Women in order to form an alliance against the ravages of HIV/AIDS. Infected or not ,Young people and Women can find strength and information in games and in the joy of sports. For us at Community Health Education Sports Initiative Zambia sport is the most popular activity among young people and have a unique chance to educate and influence the future generation of young people. Sports give the young people joy , hope and opportunities to learn while they play with others.
Using sports to educate Young people about HIV/AIDS and help them protect their own lives in an environment filled with positive energy .Through sports they can acknowledge the epidemic and learn the life skills to survive it .To bring change in behaviour production of HIV/AIDS prevalence among young people and create an environment conducive to caring for those infected with or affected by HIV AIDS infection.
Health and Hygiene
At Community Health Education Sports Initiative Zambia (CHESIZ), we promote good health and hygiene to improve the well-being of young people, women, and communities. We educate communities on personal hygiene, safe water use, sanitation, waste management, and disease prevention to reduce the spread of preventable illnesses.
Through community outreach, schools, and sports activities, we encourage positive hygiene practices and healthy lifestyles. Our health and hygiene programs support HIV/AIDS prevention efforts by promoting cleanliness, awareness, and responsibility for personal and public health.

OUR PROJECTS
Education support: A Program designed to provide basic education to the vulnerable young people. Through this Program basic education is provided in order to reduce illiteracy levels especially in vulnerable communities.
This project aims at ensuring the Government is Transparent, Accountable, and responsive to people’s needs by demanding justice and accountability on policy implementation, adoption, formulation and practice. This involves building stronger political pressure, by applying coordinated efforts of community mobilization, dialogue and engagement with Civic, policy and decision makers. The project focuses on influencing changes of policies , laws and people’s attitudes and the structures , such as cultural , economic , political and social with which the people interact with and in many instances that hinder the actualization of the social economic and cultural rights of people. The project builds the capacity of to be masters of their own development and contribute to broadening community participation and decision making in issues relating to influence government to be more transparent and accountable. Thus by increasing advocacy for policy and legislative reforms.
